Lash Lifts and Tints in Oldbury and Birmingham
A lift curls your own lashes upward, and a tint darkens them. Together they open the eye and remove the need for mascara, without adding anything artificial to your lash line.
A lift and a tint do different jobs
A lash lift changes the shape. It curls and lifts the lashes you already have, so the eye looks more open without extensions. A tint changes the colour, darkening lashes that are naturally fair or sparse-looking so they read as fuller.
Most clients have both in the same appointment, because shape and colour together are what replaces mascara. If you only want one, we will tell you which will make more difference for your lashes.
How your appointment works
Tints use dye. If you have ever reacted to hair dye, lash products or adhesives, tell us when you book so we can arrange a patch test before your appointment rather than on the day.
You lie back with your eyes closed throughout. Most clients find it a restful appointment rather than an uncomfortable one. Come with clean lashes and no eye make-up if you can.
Keep the lashes dry and leave them alone for the first day, and avoid steam rooms and heavy heat. That gives the curl the best chance of holding its shape.
How long it lasts
A lift usually holds for around six to eight weeks. It grows out with your own lash cycle rather than stopping suddenly, so it softens rather than dropping overnight. A tint fades gradually over a similar period.
How long you get depends on your own lash growth, so it varies between people. There is no damage to the natural lash in letting it simply grow out.

No. Extensions add individual lashes to your own. A lift and tint work only with the lashes you already have, changing their shape and colour, so there is nothing to maintain or remove afterwards.

You can, though most clients find they stop bothering. Keep the lashes dry and leave them alone for the first 24 hours, then treat them normally.
