TREATMENTS

Laser hair removal in Oldbury and Birmingham

Laser hair removal uses concentrated light, absorbed by the pigment in the hair follicle, to reduce future growth over a course of sessions. It treats most areas of the face and body and works best on darker hair.

You already know what it does. What you want to know is whether it will actually work on your hair and skin, and how many sessions it will really take. That is the part we are straight with you about.

Fewer sessions shaving, not a promise of perfection

Most people who come to us are tired of shaving, waxing and the regrowth that follows a few days later. They are not looking for a miracle, they are looking for less upkeep. That is what a course of laser sessions is good at, and we will be honest with you about what your hair and skin colour make realistic.

How your appointment works

01Consultation

We look at your hair and skin colour, talk through the areas you want treated, and carry out a patch test. If we think laser is unlikely to work well for your hair type, we will tell you that rather than sell you a course.

02Treatment

Session length depends on the area, from a few minutes for an upper lip to around an hour for full legs. Our equipment has integrated cooling tips, and most clients describe a light snap rather than pain. You can go straight back to your day afterwards.

03Your course

You will come back every 4 to 6 weeks, because the laser only affects hair in its active growth phase. Most clients need 6 to 8 sessions, and we review how your hair is responding as the course goes on.

Benefits

Ideal candidates

Ideal for anyone tired of shaving or waxing who wants long-term reduction on areas such as the legs, underarms, bikini line, back or face.

Laser targets the pigment in the hair, so it works best on darker hair and is generally less effective on very light blonde, red or grey hair. It is suitable for a wide range of skin tones, and the patch test confirms the right settings for yours.

How many sessions you will need

Most clients need a course of 6 to 8 sessions spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart. The laser only affects hair that is in its active growth phase, which is why one session is never enough and why the gap between them matters.

Mild redness around the follicles can last a few hours to a day. Beyond that, most clients carry on with their day as normal, avoiding sun exposure and hot baths for the first 24 hours.
